For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.
Greetings in the Name of Christ!
Before formally entering into our Advent worship, I invite each of us to center ourselves before God by praying, “Come, Lord Jesus, come.” Advent calls us to prepare our hearts, souls, minds, and relationships: so that Christ might enter it. We only have to turn our attention to Jesus, (the Word made flesh, the fullness of God) and we will find God there. I pray that as you move through this Advent season, you will seek to recognize God moving and how you have been open to God’s dwelling. I pray that each of us might be preparing to invite God in, not only to the happy and joy-filled, but into all the areas of our life: the places that we have crowded with other “stuff,” closed the door, or never allowed God to enter it.
May we take the time to slow down and pay attention to the One who is constantly trying to get our attention and tell us how much God loves us.
In Christ’s Light and Love,
