By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
Galatians 5: 22-23
Greetings of Grace and Peace,
Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10b). For us to know what quality of life we have, we need to be aware, awake, and conscious. Becoming awakened is a prevalent theme throughout the Bible. It is often written as having one’s eyes or heart opened.
Here are a few scriptural references regarding becoming aware:
I offer the above referenced scripture as a place to reflect on your life or soul status. There are nine fruit of the Spirit mentioned. Which one(s) comes easily and naturally to you? Would you say it is a defining character in your life? How is it displayed in your life? When you are naturally practicing this fruit in daily encounters, how do you feel? If you haven’t noticed how you feel, try to be aware this week. Are you empowered? In your core? Free to just “be?” Who in your daily life displays the same core fruit as you? What is it like to be with them? How do you feel when you are with them?
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him, so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power for us who believe, according to the working of his great power (Ephesians 1: 17-19).
In Christ’s Light and Love,
